Obstacle Sensor - Overview
Obstacle sensor with easyC
The Obstacle sensor with easyC is a breakout board based on the TCRT5000 infrared reflective sensor module. This sensor is capable of detecting the presence of objects within a distance of 2 to 8 millimeters. This sensor is often used in line-following robots and for automatic data logging on utility meters. The board uses I2C communication with a default address of 0x30 and is designed for seamless Qwiic (formerly easyC) connectivity—eliminating the need for soldering.
