Rotary Encoder - Overview
Rotary encoder
The Rotary encoder board, also called a shaft encoder, is an electro-mechanical device that converts the angular position or motion of a shaft to analog or digital output signals. This product is a great option for projects that implement linear model to change data value, such as volume control knobs. It features I2C communication with a hardware-defined address of 0x70 and is designed for seamless Qwiic (formerly easyC) connectivity—eliminating the need for soldering.
