Soldered Protoboards

Soldered Protoboards

Protoboard gives you a permanent alternative to a breadboard. Components solder directly onto copper pads arranged in rows and columns, so the connections stay in place instead of relying on spring contacts. Clear column and row markings make it easy to lay out parts and follow a schematic while soldering, and the board has a solder mask on one or both sides depending on size.

Once a circuit works on a breadboard, moving it to a protoboard makes it permanent without designing a custom PCB. The pack suits small projects, one-off builds, or keeping spares on hand, since each size ships as three boards instead of one.

How to use it

  1. Prototype first. Build and test your circuit on a breadboard until it works.
  2. Plan the layout. Use the printed row and column markings to arrange components the same way as on the breadboard.
  3. Solder the components. Place each part onto the copper pads and solder from the mask-free side.
  4. Make the connections. Bridge pads with solder or short lengths of wire to recreate the breadboard connections permanently.

The result is a compact, durable version of your circuit that survives handling and vibration — no spring contacts to work loose.
